Food cycle filters

This time installing them was much easier. Practice makes perfect. I was glad to know that part of their purpose is to absorb methane, so in this respect the FoodCycler is better than outside composting. It still uses electricity though.

Hi Mary, To reset the filter light, remove the back panel of the unit and feel around along the upper, inner ledge of the unit cavity (directly above where it says Reset Filter light on the back panel) until you find a small round button. Press and hold for 3 seconds until you hear a beep. The filter light should go off! Happy FoodCycling, Jillian

Love this machine!

We love being able to compost our food and throw the compost in the garden a couple hours later! No food goes to the trash to incinerator plant and our gardens get fed the best food!! WHAT A GREAT MACHINE!!!

replacement filters

I can’t get the old ones out. I’ve tried twisting. I’ve tried lifting. I haven’t yet taken a crowbar to it.

Food Cycle Science

Hi Susie, To remove filters safely simply twist them counter clockwise, once filters are completely unscrewed it will be safe to remove them from the back of the unit. If this does not work please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team at support@foodcyclescience.com and they would be happy to troubleshoot with you. Kind regards, The FoodCycler Team
