Replacement Filter Set (2 Filters)
The FoodCycler uses a patented ternary complex actor filter to eliminate any odors that would occur from the natural composting process. The filters are expected to last approximately 3 months depending on frequency of use and the types of organic materials that are being processed.
Note: We do not ship to PO boxes at this time!

First filter change
The filters took longer to arrive than I expected so I had quite a bit of food waste waiting . When they came, I installed them and thought I was following the directions. But when I started up the unit again, the “change filter@ light came on. I used the cycler anyway and it did a great job of treating the food waste without any odor. Subsequently , I contacted the support team and received the work around for resetting the “change filter@ setting. All is now well , all food waste treated, and change filter light out.
Great, but not big enough
It’s great! It can handle mango and avocado pits whole! It can even handle lemongrass stalks, corn cobs and corn husks, but those require being cut into one-inch pieces or else they get wound around the grinding blade and it gets stuck. But I am amazed at how much it can handle. We run ours 2-3 times a day, but we are vegan and I cook a lot from scratch, so we have many vegetable peelings. I just wish it was twice as big. Overall, I love this. It’s so nice not having to deal with wet compost that smells bad. As long as you replace the filters on this, it doesn’t smell at all, even a month after it recommends being changed. After that, you’ve really got to change the filter as recommended. We got a second inner pail so we could fill it up on the counter as the other one was processing. Often times it takes 6 hours to process food. As long as I run one load overnight I can generally stay on top of the composting.
easier than I thought
installing the replacement filters was easier than the original install. The reset light was pressed until I heard a beep and the light went out. I love this machine, our trash is much lighter, my herbs in pots are growing so much better this year with my mulch on top, Only complaint, is the squirrels like it too! Pesky squirrels
Love your kitchen, and feel virtuous too
Calling out my fellow small flat dwellers, do you hate taking out trash every day because it smells? Are you getting take out to avoid tossing away peelings and bits? I know I am not the only one. But the food cycler solved all that! I get nice, dry, compost stock for my neighbor's garden, my trash doesn't stink, and I cut down on waste. It's a beautiful thing. I even lost weight because having the food cycler makes it easier to cook. Tiny kitchen people of the world unite! You have nothing to lose but your trash!
Have had food cycled for for a few months. Overall, works great. Does take 4-6 hours on average. No smell!
